Plastic Management Ecosystem

Phase 1: Collection

During this phase, waste is collected from various locations either from public spaces, industrial areas, or residential locations and gathered at a multitude of government-authorized centers.

Phase 2: Processing

Processing involves a myriad of operations including cleaning, sorting different types of plastics, and baling operations that condense waste in batches which can be packed and sent in a consignment in the later stages. Depending on the capacity of the center, operations like baling or certain parts of sorting will be skipped.

Phase 3: Shipment & Invoicing

Once the plastics are processed, depending on the category of plastic batches, they are accordingly shipped to either 3rd parties who purchase the plastics for use in their recycling operations, or they can end up in an incinerator or landfills.

Plastic Credit Purchase Ecosystem

In the current setup, if a business or brand wants to purchase plastic credits, many marketplaces make this available. However, it is difficult to find trustworthy and verified sources that brands can entirely rely on. Even after purchasing plastic credits, their sources cannot be verified entirely for authenticity and origins.
