The Ecosystem with ecoCreds Integration
Plastic Management Ecosystem Improved
In the process of integrating with ecoCreds, while the existing operations remain unchanged, there are a series of proofs being generated which contribute to adding the layer of verifiable data to every entry in the blockchain. These proofs are namely:
Proof of Collection
Generated at the collection center where the waste collection from various sources is consolidated. This shows the details regarding the type of waste, where and when it was collected.
Proof of Processing
Once a batch of waste is processed i.e either cleaned, sorted, and baled, it is documented and serves as proof for that specific batch.
Proof of Shipment
Once a consignment has met the required weightage, it is now ready to be shipped. Here, based on whether it is done via truck or ship, a corresponding bill is generated, which serves in turn as proof of shipment.
Proof of Recycle / Invoice
Once the consignment reaches the desired destination an invoice is generated that proves it has been delivered, and this acts as the final proof for submission.
Once the required proofs are received, a GPOS certificate/NFT is eligible to be minted for the corresponding tonnage that was processed. The WMO can now have their NFT published and can earn from them once it is purchased/sponsored by a brand or business. This brand/business itself benefits from acquiring possession of the NFT itself but also the plastic credits it carries.
Plastic Credit Purchase Ecosystem Improved
ecoCreds makes available an open and transparent marketplace where businesses or brands can purchase plastic sourced from verified organizations and projects, which also provide extensively verifiable proofs. These ensure any plastic credit purchased on the platform is completely authentic and fraud-proof. In addition to this, they will also have legitimate stories tied to any credit of the underlying work that has gone into acquiring its value. Moreover, ecoCreds also enables the business’s public profile where its activities and impact can be measured and explored.
